Congratulations to Roger Craft on an amazing 60 years of service through Kiwanis International! Roger Craft joined the Kiwanis Club of Bozeman on June 1, 1963. At that time he was the Men’s Basketball Coach at Montana State University (1962-1969). Roger went on to become a legend both locally and nationally as the men's basketball coach at MSU and was inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame in 2005.

Roger just celebrated 60 years with Kiwanis and we honored him with this award (pictured). His accomplishments include: Over 20 years as secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Bozeman, President 1967, and Lt. Governor for Division 6 in 1971. Roger was a member of the Kiwanis Foundation of Montana board for eight years (2001-2008) and served as its President the last four years. He spent 20 years as advisor to the Kiwanis Club of Bozeman board of directors.

Roger is one of the few remaining Kiwanians that built the Kiwanis Lindley Park Pavilion in 1968. He also helped construct picnic shelters/pavilions/playgrounds at the Dinosaur Park, Beall Park, Kirk Parks, Longfellow School and helped install a kiosk at the base of Peets Hill/Burke Park.

He was always serving children and could be found at many other service projects but especially you could >nd him ?ipping pancakes at our annual “Cakes for Kids” Pancake Breakfast. For years, he was the #1 revenue producer for sponsorships for the breakfast - generally contacting 27 businesses which produced over $5000 in revenue for children's projects.

His awards include: Life membership to Kiwanis International, Hixon Fellow, Snell Fellow, Tablet of Honor, Walter Zeller Fellow and 60-year Legion of Honor.

This amazing Kiwanian is still a member of the Bozeman Club. Roger and his wife, Norma, now reside in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, so they are closer to their children.
